FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Research Peptide FAQ
Common questions about research peptides, COA verification, storage, and ordering. For research use only.
What are research peptides?+
Research peptides are short chains of amino acids synthesized for laboratory and preclinical investigation. They are used to study biological pathways, tissue repair mechanisms, metabolic regulation, and cellular signaling. All peptides sold by Peptican are labeled 'For research use only — not for human consumption.'
How do I verify the purity of my peptide?+
Every Peptican batch is independently tested by an accredited third-party laboratory using HPLC and LC-MS methods. Each vial carries a batch number that links to a public Certificate of Analysis. You can verify any batch at peptican.com/verify by entering your batch number or scanning the verification URL on the COA.
What does a Certificate of Analysis (COA) contain?+
A COA shows: the compound name, batch number, tested quantity, purity percentage (from HPLC), sometimes mass spectrometry identity confirmation, test date, and the independent lab's verification URL. These COAs are publicly verifiable — you can confirm results independently online.
How should I store lyophilized peptides?+
Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored in a freezer at -20°C, protected from light and moisture. Under these conditions, shelf life is 2–3 years. At refrigerator temperature (2–8°C), expect 12–18 months. At room temperature, 3–6 months maximum. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles — store single-use aliquots.
What purity level should I expect?+
Our peptides are tested at ≥98% purity by HPLC. The exact percentage varies by batch and is published on the public COA. Purity above 99% is achievable for well-characterized peptides like BPC-157. Novel or modified peptides may test slightly lower.
Do you ship to my country?+
We ship to all EU member states from our facility in the Czech Republic. Shipping is via tracked postal service with discreet packaging. Delivery typically takes 3–7 business days within the EU. See our shipping policy for full details.
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept cryptocurrency payments (BTC, ETH, USDC) via Coinbase Commerce. Crypto payments offer privacy, low fees, and fast settlement. Card payments are not currently available due to high-risk processor restrictions on research compounds.
Is this legal in my country?+
Research peptides sold as 'for research use only' are legal to possess and handle in most EU countries. They are not approved medicines and must not be used for human or veterinary therapeutic purposes. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with local regulations. Our products are classified under HS 2933/2934 for customs purposes.
How do I reconstitute peptides?+
Reconstitution refers to dissolving lyophilized powder into a liquid solution for research handling. Most peptides are reconstituted with bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol). Use sterile technique: wipe the vial stopper with an alcohol swab before and after. Gently swirl — do not shake — to dissolve. Store reconstituted peptides at 2–8°C and use within 30 days.
What is the difference between BPC-157 and TB-500?+
BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid peptide fragment that promotes angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation) and tenocyte repair at injury sites. TB-500 is a synthetic analog of Thymosin Beta-4, which regulates actin — a structural protein involved in cell migration and wound closure. They address different but complementary healing pathways and are often researched together as a 'recovery stack.'
What is your returns policy?+
Due to the nature of lyophilized research compounds, we cannot accept returns of opened or temperature-compromised vials. If you receive an incorrect product or the packaging is damaged in transit, contact us within 48 hours of delivery. See our full returns policy for details.
